Adelaide River Information

Adelaide River in the Northern Territory is a typical river in the NT well known for its abundance of saltwater crocodiles and wildlife. If you have ever watched the movie Crocodile Dundee then Adelaide River would sum up the local wildlife and the surrounding area. In fact Charlie the water buffalo also featured in the famous movie can be found stuffed in life size at the local Adelaide River Inn.

Donít let the scary wildlife disturb or scare you however. Adelaide River is a must visit destination for any traveller in particular from those abroad who want to experience the outback Australia. The Adelaide Railway Station or formerly known as the old Railway Station is another hot spot to visit. Featuring in good condition the Adelaide River sign in the railway station has much history to discover and if you ask locals they will be happy to share their story of its history.
