Cunnamulla in Queensland is a small town of about 1,400 people. In the Aboriginal language the word Cunnamulla means ďlong stretch of waterĒ. The meaning is well represented as the town lies on the Warrego River which stretches for a distance of over 900 Kilometres.

Pig, Wool and Kangaroo hunting are the townís main industries and if you are an adventure seeker looking for the rural outback experience then Cunnamulla will be on your list of must see destinations.

Being located in the lower end of Queensland, Cunnamulla doesnít suffer from the extreme temperatures that exist from the far north Queensland. The average mean temperature is a pleasant 28 degrees.

Some people have in the past labelled Cunnamulla a bit of a down town. Slim Dusty has also a song dedicated to the town as well.
