Goondiwindi is also a very active sporting community. Australian Rules Football, Rugby and cricket are big attractions in town to watch. Travellers can enjoy the local golf course or for the more active play a match of tennis for some fun and exercise.

The Gunsynd Statue and Museum and Customs House Museum are excellent places for tourists to find out more about some history. The famous “Goondiwindi Grey” horserace was very popular in the late 60’s and early 70’s and provides some insight into the towns past.

Nature lovers and Eco buffs will enjoy the three kilometre walkway along the Macintyre River. Apart from seeing the wonderful nature and birds in your journey there are also plenty of places for you to enjoy the perfect picnic.
