Fortaleza is the 5th largest city in Brazil with a population of over 2 million people lying on the Atlantic Ocean. Located on Porto das Dunas beach the theme park has the world’s second largest waterslide nicknamed the “Insano” that is an impressive 41 meters high. The Aquatic Park is such a Mecca for tourism that it attracts nearly 700 thousand people every year.
Anyone interested in Scuba Diving will be happy to know that Fortaleza contains the Pedra da Risca do Meio State Marine Park. With an average yearly water temperature of 27 degrees, the water marine park is extremely popular amongst professional and amateur divers and is buzzing with marine life as it is off limits to fishermen.
