Tauranga, is the most populated city on the ‘Bay of Plenty’, on New Zealand’s North Island. Home to the largest port in the country, Tauranga is one of the most important economic hubs in the region.

With a mix of rocky coastlines and pure sandy beaches, Tauranga is a haven for the outdoor adventurers and sun worshippers. The outlying islands provide ample opportunity for Snorkelling and Diving with an amazing array of marine life for the nature enthusiasts whilst the warm waters and offshore sand bar make for excellent Surfing, Water Skiing, Kite Surfing and all manner of Water Sports.

One of the greatest attractions for the lovers of the ocean is the charter to witness the amazing sights of the dolphins as they forage and play with the perfect opportunity to get in the water and swim with these magnificent creatures.

Tauranga also features many trails for Cycling, Mountain Biking, or Walking and Hiking. The Sandy Beaches seem to run endlessly along the coast with incredible views of the Mount.

For the really adventurous you must travel a short distance from Tauranga’s centre and visit Longridge Fun Park for a day of family entertainment. Try the Zorb, an adrenaline rush down hill in an inflatable globe protected by a cushion of air.

The city holds numerous events that draw tourists from all over the state, such as the National Jazz Festival at Easter. However, the most notable is the New Years celebrations at Mount Maunganui enticing crowds from all over New Zealand.
